The terrible situation in Venezuela that won't let them live as they should
Venezuelans have been forced to leave their own country due to the changes that have been made since Maduro took command and altered the politics and economy of Venezuela, creating a crisis where the only way for Venezuelans to continue living is to immigrate to another country hoping to receive the help needed. The Peruvian State does not have the objective of involving Venezuelans in society at all, or that is what it seems since we can tell that they use their power to get all Venezuelans out of Peru, saying that they can be a threat to all of us, creating with that situations in where everyone's safety is affected. All this is caused by the closed mentality that the country has, an integral development is needed to achieve good treatment among all.
“The
Venezuelan State has not only made its citizens dependent on its services and
products, by causing the collapse of the private sector, but has also imposed
control and coercion mechanisms on them, through various social programs. After
the collapse of the socialist system imposed in Venezuela, citizens have been
left without supplies. In this sense, the departure of Venezuelans abroad
constitutes what Alexander Betts calls a “survival migration,” because of the
political and socioeconomic crisis existing in said country, generates the
total lack of protection and the deprivation of the human rights of its
citizens. In this context, food insecurity is a fundamental factor for this
migration to be so massive. Food security “exists when all people have, at all
times, physical, social and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious
food that meets their daily energy needs and food preferences to lead an active
and healthy life.” Consequently, the majority of Venezuelans who have left
their country have done so to obtain a job that ensures an income to obtain
food.” (Vera, 2023)
Venezuelans work for the minimum wage, which does not allow them to eat or live in the way that a human being should, all the money they have can’t satisfy all their needs and can increase the number of ill people due to bad alimentation. What the Venezuelan State does is increasingly stock up the stores and the only way in which you can get food is through social programs, which are not enough to feed an entire country.
There are many borders imposed on Venezuelans to enter
any country, so when they are looking for a better future they have to break
the rules and do it in a not-so-legal way, using trajectories that always aim
to reach a country that can help them economically; and not necessarily the
whole family, but someone who can get the money so that all the other family
members can buy and supply their needs.
The only
chance that Venezuelans have to get money and live in a somewhat pleasant way
is by immigrating, and even though we see it as something bad, we should give
them the opportunity to grow and live in our country the way they won’t in
their own.
